Weekly Youth Pick-up Lacrosse Game (U13 and U15)
by posted 06/26/2009

Parents and Players:

I am working with the Methacton coaching staff and Running Brave Lacrosse to facilitate a weekly "pick-up"/"drop-in" lacrosse game for U-13 and U-15 Collegeville Cougars.  We will play at
MethactonHigh School on Sunday evenings starting this Sunday, 6/28.   We will play every Sunday through the summer.  You can play one, some, most, or all of the Sundays, depending on your schedule.  It will be very informal, just show up at the high school by 6:30 p.m., we will divide up the players into two teams and play lacrosse for about an hour, roughly 6:45 - 7:45 p.m.
If there is enough interest we will include U-11 players at a later date and play on two fields, one for the older crowd and one for the younger crowd. There will be adult supervision but no formal coaching, just playing lacrosse for FUN!

There will be very limited checking, but players must wear all of the required lacrosse equipment, including mouthguards!  Players should also wear a reversible practice jersey.  If you do not have a reversible jersey, bring a white and a dark jersey/shirt.  All participants must be members of US Lacrosse for insurance purposes. We are asking for a $5 per player donation each week you play to cover the cost of balls, paint, etc., and as a fundraiser for the Methacton team, however, this first Sunday is FREE!, so come on out and bring a Cougar friend.

If you are interested in playing, show up at
6:30 on Sunday at MethactonHigh School (corner of Germantown Pike and Kriebel Rd).  If you have any questions contact me at jeb66@cornell.edu or give me a call at (610)676-0604. I hope to see many of you at MethactonHigh School
on Sunday.
